Budgerigar Love

Gosh I have been home for over 2 months and its still freezing cold. To bring some spring cheer into our home I have papered the wall in our smallest bedroom.

 Budgie wallpaper in palest pink with yellowy/green Budgies. I managed to cover the whole wall ( 7' 7" ) wide with just one roll. The walls are Dulux Natural Calico. Am half way through crocheting a bright yellow lampshade to cover that light bulb !

 One little egg cosy.......free kit with this months Let Knit. Nearly finished the pink one

 Have also finished my gorgeous wrap. One skein of fine lace and one skein of kidsilk knitted together. LOVE LOVE LOVE

Runaway Bay

Having been away and no photos to share I have decided to show this dress.

I made it 3 summers ago and have since put on weight so cannot zip it up. I lined it with bamboo fabric in the hope it will feel cooler.

 I had 5 gorgeous days at Runaway Bay on the Goldcoast...which was exactly what it says on the can. I have finished the granny square slippers and a pair of fingerless mitts for my daughter, but awaiting a photo opportunity .

Christmas Advent

 I wanted to make my daughter an advent calender as its her first Christmas in Sydney

 I have no craft stuff here so decided to make do. Pickfords wrapping paper, foam stick on numbers from Coles , $1 ribbon from the Dollar Shop, red wool $1 from Vinnies charity shop and a satin hanger

 The gifts maltesers, mini grater, measuring spoon, chocolates, sweets,tissues everything under $2

It took forever to wrap stick and tie but I love it and so did my daughter when she got home from work
